International Packaging GroupRange

Products

The range is built around a single question: what has to stay inside the pack, and what must not get in. Oxygen, moisture, light, odour, mechanical load.

The principle

The material is specified against the line

Before we propose a material we ask about the thermoformer, the web width, the forming depth, the sealing temperature and the cycle rate. A catalogue number without those figures is a guess.

Product groups

Six groups

Each group below sets out what we supply and what we need to know in order to specify it. Exact structures, gauges and widths are set per enquiry, because they depend on your line.
  • FLM01 / 06

    Thermoforming and lidding films

The primary pack, and the part that decides shelf life. The bottom web forms the cavity, the top web seals it, and the two have to work as a pair.

    Specification

    • PA-PE, APET and EVOH barrier structures
    • Peelable and weldable lidding films
    • Anti-fog layer where required
    • Plain or printed · Packoclear private label
  • TRY02 / 06

    Thermosealable trays

A tray series designed to be closed with lidding film. The tray flange has to match the sealing tool, so tray and film are always specified together.

    Specification

    • TT001–TT008 series
    • MAP and vacuum packing
    • Flange matched to the sealing tool
    • FV001–FV003 fruit and vegetable series
  • BAG03 / 06

    Barrier and non-barrier bags

Where the product is packed off-line, by hand or semi-automatically, the bag remains the fastest answer.

    Specification

    • Multilayer structure with an oxygen barrier
    • Single-layer PE bags without a barrier
    • Dimensions and gauge set against the product
    • Seal type set against the vacuum equipment
  • CNT04 / 06

    Containers and lids

Three series, for three different product heights and three different opening habits.

    Specification

    • Bakery containers BC001–BC006
    • Flat-lid containers FL001–FL006
    • Volumes from 250 ml to 1 L
    • Dome-lid containers DL001–DL006
  • BOX05 / 06

    Corrugated boxes

The job of the carton is not the pack – it is the load: how much it holds, how often it is handled, and in what conditions it is stored.

    Specification

    • Transport boxes rated from 1000 kg
    • Board grade set against weight and storage humidity
    • Transport cases and shelf-ready boxes
    • FSC-certified fibre · certification held by the manufacturer
  • LBL06 / 06

    Labels

The label has to stay on the surface in cold and damp conditions, and the print has to stay legible for the whole life of the product.

    Specification

    • Adhesive labels · adhesive matched to surface and temperature
    • Printed labels carrying batch and date data
    • Linerless labels
    • Facestock and lamination matched to the pack surface

Select up to four codes to compare them side by side.

Product codes follow our catalogue numbering. Quote the code in your enquiry if you already know it.

Millimetres and millilitres are the units the catalogue publishes. Inches and fluid ounces are converted figures.

Where a depth is printed as two figures either side of a slash, it is reproduced exactly as the catalogue prints it. The catalogue does not state what each figure represents, and neither do we.

Thermoforming and lidding films

The primary pack, and the part that decides shelf life. The bottom web forms the cavity, the top web seals it. The two have to work as a pair – inside the same sealing-temperature window, at the same cycle rate.

PA/EVOH/PE140 µm407 mm500 m

Applications

Fresh and processed meat, fish, portioned cheese, prepared meals.

Structures

  • PA-PE

Polyamide and polyethylene. The polyamide gives puncture resistance and clean thermoforming; the polyethylene provides the sealing layer. The standard choice for fresh and processed meat where reliable deep draws are required.

  • APET

Amorphous polyethylene terephthalate. A stiffer cavity, high clarity and stable geometry. Used where the pack has to hold its shape on the shelf and present the product well.

  • EVOH barrier

An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer layer inside a multilayer structure. This is the oxygen barrier that sets achievable shelf life on sensitive products – fresh red meat, cheese, fish. The EVOH layer is specified against the shelf life and storage conditions actually required, not on a “more is better” basis.

The two films that recur across the whole record

These two specifications are the only ones that recur across the 2024–2026 shipments and in the 2023–2024 certificates of quality. The data below is what the certificate of quality prints, with nothing added to it.

Every figure in this table is printed on a shipping document, a certificate of quality, a reel label or a manufacturer's datasheet. Where a document prints no value, the cell stays empty – no figure here is computed, rounded, or carried across from a similar product.

Micrometres, millimetres and metres are the units the manufacturers' documents print. Mils (thousandths of an inch), inches and feet are converted figures.

Lidding films

We supply both peelable and weldable lidding. Peelable lidding opens by hand without tearing the tray flange, which suits retail. Weldable lidding gives a stronger, non-reopenable bond, which suits transported and heavier products. Anti-fog lidding is available where the product has to stay visible through a chilled cabinet.

The material columns (PP, APET, APET/PE) on that page are tick marks that cannot be read out of the document, so material availability is stated nowhere here and is confirmed against your enquiry. 03 / 06BAG

Barrier and non-barrier bags

Where the product is packed off-line, by hand or semi-automatically, the bag remains the fastest and cheapest answer. The difference between a barrier and a non-barrier bag is not the price – it is how many days the product stays saleable.

3SS≤ 200 µm150 – 700 mm180 – 1 050 mm

Applications

Whole-muscle, cured and smoked meat, cheese, fish, frozen goods.

Barrier bags

Multilayer structure with an oxygen barrier. Intended for vacuum packing: whole-muscle meat, cured and smoked products, cheese, fish. The barrier slows oxidation, which holds colour and delays fat rancidity.

Applications
Meat blocks, raw material, frozen product, retail, industrial consignments.

Reinforced transport boxes and containers

Boxes for loads of 1000 kg and above. Used for meat blocks, raw material, frozen product and industrial consignments where the load travels on a pallet and is handled several times. Board grade, wall construction and base design are specified against the actual weight and the storage humidity, not against a standard box. The load a given format carries, and the stacking arrangement it carries it in, are confirmed at enquiry stage rather than published as a single figure.

Corrugated boxes for retail

Transport cases and shelf-ready boxes dimensioned to the pallet module and the shelf. Printing from a single identification mark up to full retail graphics.

Labels

The label is the part of the pack that the inspector checks and the customer reads. It has to stay on the surface in cold and damp conditions, and the print has to stay legible for the whole life of the product.

Applications
Identification in cold and damp environments, retail, logistics.

Adhesive labels

The adhesive is selected for the surface and the temperature: chilled condensation, freezer temperatures and a greasy film surface each require a different adhesive. The wrong adhesive lets go at exactly the point where the consignment is already with the customer.

Printed labels

Brand, ingredient, batch and date information. Colours, facestock and lamination are matched to the pack surface and to retail requirements.

Linerless labels

Labels without a silicone liner. They cut waste at the packing line and fit more labels into the same roll diameter, so rolls are changed less often.

Print specification

These requirements govern flexographic print on films, bags and labels alike. They are printed on the technical layout requirements sheet.

There is no label dimension table here. No self-adhesive label product appears on any supply document from 2023 to 2026, so we have no label size, roll width, core or adhesive class to state. Label dimensions are confirmed against your enquiry.

In every sector the product fails in its own way

Generic packaging fits nobody. In every sector the product fails in its own way, and the failure mode is what decides the barrier required.

Not sure which group you need?

Describe the product and how it is packed today. That is usually enough for us to propose a specific material – or to tell you that the one you have is already right.
